Our 2008 Sponsors:
![]()
In the past, we have been very successful performing in the Crimmus Jam on the closest weekend night before December 25th. In 2006 we raised close to $1500 for the Blake Tedder Burn Prevention Foundation and in 2007, we raised $1800 for the Braswell Memorial Library off of the door alone.
The Crimmus Jam, from the inception, was about returning “home” to Rocky Mount, being together in the company of old friends, and helping the less fortunate while at it. Each year we select a different commendable local charity, and give to it ALL of the proceeds to help it meet its mission.
The Crimmus Jam is looking for sponsors in 2008 to help with the costs of putting on such a big event that will continue to support Rocky Mount area charities. It takes quite a bit of work to put this thing together: we rent a venue space, hire security, gather odds and ends supplies to hold the concert together, feed the performers who play for free in the Crimmus spirit, rent sound system with sound crew, hold rehearsals, run a website etc. We want to see as much money as possible go towards our selected charity. This year that selected charity is My Sister’s House, a wonderful organization providing education, resources, and safe haven for victims of domestic and sexual violence. We couldn’t be happier to support such a noble organization, and hope you would like to help too!
